She has her 6-month checkup tomorrow morning, so we'll get all the fun stats then. I'm predicting that she'll be in a fairly high percentile for her height. The girl's got some lanky limbs, that's for sure.
Onto some of what she's been up to...
Has been rolling over for over a month now, and is on the verge of sitting up on her own. Still needs pillows around her for back up, but I have a feeling it'll just click one of these days soon.
Likes to stand, but clearly we've got a few months before we go anywhere solo with that one...
Loves being outdoors. On top of that, loves our dog Kenna. Put her outside in her stroller with Kenna running around in sight, and she could be entertained for a while.
Has gone from thinking veggies were so-so, to thinking they're like a steak done medium rare (um, well, which is the best meal ever in my mind...we'll work on getting Ashlynn to think the same someday). Devours peas, carrots, squash, green beans and sweet potatoes. Still eating cereal around noon at daycare, and still going strong on milk. Did I mention she still loves eating her toes? Extra awesome when she decides to eat them as dessert when she's got a mouthful of carrots.
Showed a little skin in her new swimsuit when she hit up the pool for the first time this past weekend. She really enjoyed the water...from staring at the waves/movement to letting her legs kick like crazy. If we make the water visits a little more regular, I think it'll be time for a baby floaty of some sort...and waterproof diapers. Didn't have any during our first go-round!
Sleeping anywhere from 7 - 10 hours through the night. She'll have an occassional night where she'll toss around in her crib in the middle of the night, but she usually goes right back down if I give her a nook or just feed her a little bit. Overall, we're doing great in the sleep department. Getting a little nervous that teething might be around the corner with some massive drooling and random fussiness, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
Her personality is showing more and more each day, and we're loving every stage of her growth. Onto another month of fun!
