9 Months

We had Ashlynn's 9 month checkup last Thursday, and here's how our little girl is doing...

- 97th percentile for height (she's gangly)
- 70th percentile for weight (20 lbs.)
- Still standing up and walking around furniture, toys, people, etc. Just started to flirt with the idea of standing on her own...lets go of what she's holding on to for about 20-30 seconds, then slowly squats down to sit when she decides she's done.
- Mastered stairs...all 15 of them going upstairs in our home (don't worry we're not bad parents, Jeremy followed her all the way up)
- Makes all sorts of noises and thinks she's pretty funny when she does it.
- Eating more and more "big people" food. Pretty much anything that's broken down small enough, she's got her hands on. And when she sees us eat, she wants in.
- Ladies and gentlemen...we have teeth! And two of them right off the bat! As of last Friday, her first tooth poked through and a day later the second one followed. Both on the bottom middle. She hasn't been too crabby about it, either. No horror stories, yet...just seems to be taking longer naps and is a little clingy.
- Speaking of sleep, she's getting up once in the middle of the night and fussing/crying. Instead of giving in and feeding her, we're letting her cry it out. I know she can't be hungry based on what she eats before bed. And like the doc said, she's not starving based on her size, so we're doing the whole tough love thing. I understand that some of it may be the teething, but most nights she fusses for about 20 minutes, I check to make sure the nook is in and she's back to sleep. So far, so good.
- Makes Jer and I smile so much everyday...can't believe how much she's growing and changing. Even a little more blonde hair on her head, folks!

And now of a few photos...
Getting her squats in for the day
Spending Auntie Rach's money
And she's off!
Devouring a muffin...Bibs gave her the whole thing and she went to town. And judging by her face, she was in heaven.
Yum
Apparently she's letting us know she wants a pillow since she's using the bumper pad for one...

She's growing like a weed. We love the little stinker. I was secretly hoping she'd have one buck tooth growing in the center of her mouth, but looks like she's going to continue to be cute. Oh well, maybe it will happen with your next one. :) Love ya.
