Gone Fishin'

This past weekend we spent some time with my nieces and nephew, as they were up from St. Louis spending the week at my parents. Joshua and Bella both have their own kiddie fishing poles and get anxious to use them everytime they go to Grandma and Grandpa's (usually go in Gpa's boat), since St. Louis isn't exactly a fisherman's haven.

So on Sunday, Jer and my dad took those two down to the Mississippi River to fish along a little pier. Within the first 2 minutes of dropping Bella's line in, there was a tug...


More than Bella could handle, and sure enough...

Go figure, that was the only catch of the day. So the attention span of a 3 and 5-year-old didn't last much longer, but we still had a fun time.
