27 Weeks

See you later 2nd tri! I was reminded this morning in my Baby Center weekly email that I'm 27 weeks and that I reached the 3rd trimester. Craziness, I tell you. We had an appointment on July 2nd that Jeremy came to, and all is sounding/looking good. Here are a few updates on baby and our fam in general (similar to my last 27 week post)...

Baby Bacon
- Weighs 1 lb. 13 oz. (as of 7/2)
- Heartrate is 143 bpm
- He/she moved around a ton during the ultrasound, so we didn't get too many babyish/person looking images but did get a lot of looks at the heart, brain, etc., and doc rattled off all the important components. All I wanted was some facetime. Shy little one, I guess.
- Feeling a lot of movement in the evenings, especially just before bed.

Ash-$
- Weighs 25 lbs. 7 oz.
- I know her weight because we were just in urgent care this week where we found out she has a double ear infection.
- Showing more and more independence...and attitude.
- 18 months as of July 3, and 18 month check up is Monday (I'll have more official stats on our gangly girl then, with some other tidbits and faves of hers)

Dad
- Still working like a mo-fo. Between demolition of a hog barn at his parents' place and now the demolition of the old implement (they just remodeled and expanded), he's one tired, physically exhausted guy. Some mornings he's up selling pigs at 4am, goes to the implement from 7:30-5pm and changes quick before he starts demo at the implement from 5 - 9pm. Long days, that's for sure.
- All his high school buds seem to be getting married this summer. A wedding last weekend (college friend) and still three more through September, totaling 7 this year.
- Working on "left foot" and "right foot" with Ashlynn every morning when they leave for daycare. Cute to watch all his proud daddy moments.

Mom
- Haven't busted out any official maternity pants just yet, but any day now being that my hips have both entered into separate zip codes.
- Spending a lot of time watering - flowers and our veggie garden. Anxious for this year's crop of goods...now can we just get a little rain?!
- Some staff changes at work have made things pretty hectic, but I'm excited to have just hired a new, full-time marketing person. She starts in a week and will cover my maternity leave and stay full-time when I get back.

27 Weeks (and yes, this was taken in the bathroom yesterday at work. Have I mentioned that I'm horrible with consistency in photos with this baby?!)
