4 Months

I've been on a little blogging hiatus...Ashlynn hit the 4-month mark last Tuesday and here I am posting a week later. Better late than never...

Helllooooo...I just turned 4 months.


She had her 4-month checkup last week, too, where she got a clean bill of health. Yea for no real colds or ear infections yet (knock on wood). And it turns out our little homegirl is slowly starting to get more lean and mean. She's in the 90th percentile for height and 75th percentile for weight (versus the 90's for weight a couple months ago). I can tell her limbs are getting long because some of her long-sleeve onesies are now 3/4 lenth. And because when I prop her up to burp, her legs get in the way so now I reeeaaaally have to lift her high to turn her around. Thata girl.

We started her on rice cereal more officially now. We tried it a few weeks ago and she didn't get the spoon concept, so we would mix a thin amount in her bottle at night. Now we're trying it full fledge before bedtime.

Stop looking at me, I'm eating. With a burp rag as a make-shift bib because my mom is too lazy to go upstairs and get one.

And give me my bottle back

On top of the rice cereal addition, she's rolling side to side, but hasn't mastered the over the arm to get to her tummy yet. We'll get there. In the meantime, she loves tummy time, bumbo seat time, standing while we hold her and jabbering away. It's funny because we notice when she discovers new pitches and ranges in her voice. She'll do a new sound or squeal for a few days in a row. Love our conversations!

It's been another amazing, fulfilling and busy month with our little monster. Loving every minute of it...
