Overload

I know, another garden post. But I can't help it...the produce is getting a little out of hand for this first-timer. Little did I know when we started our vegetable garden it would produce so much (probably my lack of experience and gardening knowledge). Ever since my last post on some of the successful veggies we were starting to pull and eat, we've had cucumbers, zucchini and yellow squash coming out of our ears. And the green beans, lettuce and peppers have been plentiful, too. It's almost a little ridiculous.

Disregard the apple...storebought :)

Last night Jer and I went out to the garden to see if any more needed to be picked (keep in mind I just pulled a bunch of stuff about two days before). We both made two trips in with our shirts and arms full of veggies. Is it possible for a situation to be comical, successful and annoying all at once? I'm pretty sure those were Jeremy and my thoughts as we were hauling in loads of veggies in the 90 degree humidity.

Trust me, I'm not complaining. $1 for a packet of seeds to produce dozens and dozens of cucumbers? Very cool. But I'm thinking next year I need to start making pickles and maybe even start taking this stuff to the Farmer's Market in Mankato. Not sure how that all works, but should at least look into it.

These pics don't even come close to capturing it all

In the meantime, friends and family have been enjoying some of the cucumbers and squash, and Jer and I are getting a healthy dose of veggies in our diet. And Kenna our dog even sneaks a zucchini or two from time to time. Weird dog.

Yes, here is our weird dog sleeping on her back the other day

And here she is looking cute and normal

Oh, and we haven't even started with tomatoes. They're all green right now, but I'm just waiting for the flood of red... Anyone who wants to visit the Wolff vegetable garden is more than welcome to!
