This past weekend, my mom and dad visited for a couple days. And when they visit, they don't like to just sit still. So Friday while we were at work, they painted doors all afternoon. That evening, Jer and my dad trimmed trees. Then Saturday, my mom and I ran a bunch of errands, then came back home to continue painting, weeding the garden, loading up brush for burning, moving the guest room downstairs (clearing out for the baby room!) and other odd projects galore. We're not completely cruel...we did feed them for their labor. We also visited the new winery that's only 5 miles from our place. What a great spot! Mom, Dad and Jer did the wine tasting, and there are some great wines to choose from all grown right there. We also saw that they serve dinner on Friday nights, and they've got a beautiful patio and fire pit out back. Nice to have this place so close!
But back to being thankful. Jeremy and I are both so blessed with amazing families. Whether it's helping around the house or yard (our home wouldn't be what it is without my in-laws time working on it last spring), or helping with advice in all departments, our parents are so supportive in so many ways. Mom and Dad, and Mike and Terri play such an important part in our lives. Talk about the perfect role models for us parents-to-be. So blessed!
